On April 2, 2026, Environmental Management Consultants Inc. (EMC) hosted an engaging afternoon of Easter-themed team-building activities, bringing staff together in a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and friendly competition.
The activity commenced with an Easter Hat Contest, featuring four teams: the Marine Team, the Technical Team, the Admin and Finance Team, and the EMC Foundation Team. Each group was given 30 minutes to conceptualise and construct an Easter-themed. At the end of the allotted time, a representative from each team showcased their creation, highlighting the thought, teamwork, and personality behind each design.
The entries were evaluated by Managing Director, Mr. Shyam Nokta, and Projects Director, Mr. Khalid Alladin, based on creativity, originality, presentation, and teamwork. The competition proved to be exceptionally close, with all teams producing distinctive and imaginative pieces. After careful deliberation, the Foundation Team was awarded the winner, impressing the judges with a standout design that captured both creativity and team spirit.
Following the contest, staff participated in a lively scavenger hunt across the EMC compound. Participants were divided into two groups, Team A and Team B, and tasked with solving clues, completing challenges, and navigating their way to the finish line. The activity quickly became a highlight of the afternoon, fostering quick thinking, collaboration, and enthusiastic team support. Team A, comprised of members from the Marine Team and the Admin and Finance Team, emerged victorious after completing the challenges ahead of their competitors.
Winners of both activities were awarded Easter baskets in recognition of their efforts. The afternoon concluded with staff enjoying light refreshments, including hot cross buns and cupcakes, while reflecting on the day’s events.
The activity provided a fun and memorable opportunity for staff to connect beyond their daily roles, reinforcing teamwork and camaraderie across the organization.
