On July 6, 2026, Environmental Management Consultants Inc. (EMC) proudly supported the Saxacalli Nursery and Primary School 2026 Prize Giving and Graduation Ceremony, joining students, parents, teachers, and community members in celebrating the achievements of the graduating class.
Representing EMC, Program Coordinator, Ms. Sarah Singh, delivered the graduation charge, reflecting on the company’s long-standing relationship with the village and the privilege of watching many of the graduates grow over the years. She acknowledged the collective effort that contributed to their success, expressing gratitude to parents, guardians, teachers, village leaders, and the wider Saxacalli community for their unwavering support and dedication.
Inspiring the graduates to embrace the opportunities ahead, Ms Singh reminded them that education is one of life’s greatest gifts and encouraged them to remain curious, resilient, and committed to continuous growth.
“Be yourself but never stop becoming a better version of yourself. Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep improving. Be kind. Be honest. Be respectful. Be curious. Every day is an opportunity to become wiser, stronger, and more compassionate than you were yesterday.”
She further encouraged the graduates to step outside their comfort zones, choose positive friendships, seek guidance when needed, and remain grateful to those who continue to support and believe in them.
Closing her address, Ms. Singh shared a message that reflected EMC’s commitment to education, community development, and environmental stewardship: “Go forward with confidence. Make your family proud. Make Saxacalli proud. Make Guyana proud. And as you build your future, help make this world a better place, not only for people, but also for the incredible plants, animals, and natural environment that make our country so special.”
During the ceremony, Ms. Singh also had the honour of presenting awards to several outstanding students in recognition of their achievements. The event marked an important milestone as the graduates celebrated the completion of their nursery and primary education and looked ahead to the exciting opportunities that await them in the next step of their journey.
