EMC Participates in the 2025 Guyana Energy Conference & Supply Chain Expo

Environmental Management Consultants Inc. (EMC Inc.) was honoured to participate in the 2025 edition of the Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo at the Guyana Marriott Hotel. The event provided an invaluable platform for forging partnerships, engaging with stakeholders, and promoting environmental awareness.

For the expo, EMC collaborated with CSA Ocean Sciences, a Florida-based company specializing in multidisciplinary projects that assess potential environmental impacts. As one of EMC’s key partners, CSA Ocean Sciences played a crucial role in showcasing collaborative efforts at the conference.

Over the four-day event, EMC and CSA Ocean Sciences highlighted their wide range of services, successful projects, and state-of-the-art equipment used for environmental assessments. Additionally, the EMC Foundation’s publications were on display, further reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to environmental education and awareness.

A key highlight of the 2025 Energy Expo was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GeoCentric, a Canadian company specializing in hydrogeology and geochemical evaluations. This agreement paves the way for collaboration in this specialized field as well as in groundwater flow modeling, resource monitoring, and the development of groundwater management, remediation, and closure plans.

Other notable moments included visits from distinguished Government and Non-Government officials including Prime Minister of Guyana, Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark Phillips, and Vice President of Guyana, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo. The Expo also saw enthusiastic participation from Guyanese students and citizens eager to learn more about EMC’s work and environmental sustainability.

EMC’s Managing Director, Mr. Shyam Nokta, took part in a panel discussion on the third day of the conference. He joined key leaders from Guyana’s energy sector, including representatives from the Guyana Energy Agency, Guyana Power and Light Inc., MODEC, S&P Solutions, and the University of the West Indies, to discuss the topic “Sustainable Development and Energy Access.”

Throughout the Expo, EMC staff actively engaged with the public, delegates, students, and professionals, raising awareness about EMC’s initiatives. They also distributed EMC memorabilia, helping to increase the organization’s visibility and attract new followers to EMC and the EMC Foundation’s social media platforms.
