EMC participates in International Energy Conference and Expo 2023 Guyana 2023

EMC was represented at this year’s International Energy Conference and Expo, held in Guyana from February 14 to 17, 2023 by its Managing Director Mr. Shyam Nokta. The conference brought together national and regional leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to share ideas, be informed of advances in the energy sector, and discuss energy, the development agenda, climate change and other key issues with focus on Guyana and the Caribbean region.

While at the Conference, Mr. Nokta joined the European Union Ambassador to Guyana, His Excellency Rene Van Nes, Executive of the Environmental Protection Agency, Kemraj Parsram, and Deputy Dean of Graduate Studies at the University of Guyana, Dr. Paulette Bynoe, on February 15, 2023, on a panel discussion on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Mr. Nokta spoke on ESG in relation to the private sector, opportunities in the Guyanese context and its critical role in helping to address global issues.
