EMC Inc. Hosts 2025 Kite Building and Design Competition
As part of its 2025 Easter celebrations, Environmental Management Consultants Inc. (EMC) proudly hosted an in-house Kite Building and Design Competition—a vibrant display of creativity, innovation, and team spirit.
Bringing together staff from across the organisation, the initiative aimed to celebrate the festive season while fostering collaboration and camaraderie. Participating teams included the Admin and Finance Department, Technical Department, Marine Department, and the EMC Foundation and IT Department. Each team was challenged to design and construct a kite that was creative, functional, and original—capturing the essence of Easter and the power of teamwork.
The excitement extended beyond the office walls, as kites were posted on social media for public voting. At EMC, teams gave enthusiastic presentations, explaining how their kites met the competition’s criteria. The judging was led by Managing Director, Mr. Shyam Nokta, and Projects Director, Mr. Khalid Alladin, who carefully evaluated each entry.
After much deliberation, the EMC Foundation and IT Department soared to victory, earning the title of 2025 EMC Kite Competition Champion—along with the coveted trophy and well-deserved bragging rights. The Technical Department placed second, followed by the Marine Department in third, and the Admin and Finance Department in fourth.
The event concluded with a warm, delicious treat of hot cross buns and cheese—a cherished Guyanese Easter tradition.
The competition reflected EMC’s ongoing commitment to cultivating a positive work environment, strengthening interdepartmental bonds, and celebrating the moments that bring our team together.
